I desire to testify to the many blessings which have been received through Christian Science. Among them is the healing of gout of twenty-five years' standing, chronic catarrh, an abdominal trouble, and constipation. More than a dozen physicians had treated me during many years. Sand and mud baths, bran cures, and visits to sanatoriums did not help me. When all material means had failed, I heard of Christian Science for the first time; and I can testify that "the sword of the Spirit" has lost none of its power since the Master and his disciples used it so successfully. Well for him who prefers to trust to this spiritual weapon rather than to the surgeon's knife. Paul said that the spiritual weapon is "mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds." As a result of my reliance on God, I was healed of all my ills after studying the textbook for four weeks.

Now I know that God's love surrounds me, and I am a happy, grateful, blessed child of God. I know that God is the only healing power, and that He is infinite Love. Besides complete physical healing I have found an even greater treasure, the ever available God—Spirit—whom we can wholly trust. If we live according to His will, we shall not want.

Above all I thank our Father-Mother God and think reverently of Mrs. Eddy, the author of the glorious textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I also wish to express gratitude for the privilege of receiving class instruction, as well as for the opportunity of unlimited service in God's vineyard. As a Christian Scientist I am endeavoring to follow faithfully the command of the Master, to "preach the gospel"—the truth which makes us free—and to "heal the sick."
