Great gratitude for what Christian Science has done and is doing for me and for all mankind prompts me to write this testimony. I was not looking for physical healing when I first began to study Christian Science, but the religion in which I had been brought up no longer satisfied me and had failed to meet my need at a period of great mental distress. I am grateful to say that in Christian Science I found a religion which satisfied me and fully met my need. Later on I was very quickly healed of gallstones. For some years I had suffered from severe attacks of this trouble, and I had been reading Science and Health for only a few months when I was seized with an attack. I was not able to get in touch with a practitioner, so I decided to use my own small understanding of the truth. My need was met, and since that time, over eleven years ago, I have been entirely free from this complaint.

Christian Science has been an invalubale help in my work as a teacher; and experience in a school where the staff and pupils are all Scientists has given me a larger vision of the Christ and of what Christian Science means in the field of education. The healing of pink eye was a most beautiful and convincing proof of the power of Christian Science to heal. During an epidemic, when many schools were obliged to close on account of the seriousness and the spreading of this so-called disease, we were wonderfully protected. I, together with several others, was attacked with the complaint. We were all healed very quickly under Christian Science treatment. I was kept from my work for two days owing to the unsightly condition of my eyes, but I never once felt ill, and was able to rejoice all the time that man in God's sight is always harmonious and cannot be touched by any seeming condition of mortal mind.

Christian Science has also healed me of influenza, of a very irritating skin trouble, and other ailments. I am grateful for the regeneration that is going on in my thinking through the study of our Leader's writings. Faults of character, which for a long time seemed very much a part of me, are slowly disappearing as man is seen to be the image and likeness of God, controlled by the divine law of Love; and I am grateful to be learning that man is not dependent on material conditions for happiness, but that God, Spirit, is the true source of all joy and happiness.
