God's Law Enforced

God's law governs every idea throughout His universe. He has supreme power over His ideas, which are wholly dependent on Him for existence and identity. Because God knows only good, whatever He creates expresses goodness. There is none to dispute His imperative sway; and since His will is the will of Love, the tenderest care accompanies His irrefutable direction.

God made man in His image and likeness to reflect His dominion over all the hosts of His creation. Man has no choice, therefore, but to accept this dominion, which means immortal life, changeless health, unending joy, and unfailing harmonious activity. In this relationship each spiritual idea is assured perfect and perpetual individuality. Divine Principle perpetually governs the expression of good. Mary Baker Eddy writes in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 184), "Truth, Life, and Love are the only legitimate and eternal demands on man, and they are spiritual lawgivers, enforcing obedience through divine statutes."

Evil claims to be God's opposite, with ability to nullify God's laws. It claims that where God's law should be acknowledged and enforced, the so-called law of mortal mind is producing the contrary effect. There is no repeal in the kingdom of God. His law of righteousness is irrevocable; it can never be undone. That which is, is. God ceaselessly unfolds perfection, and this impartation needs no rectification, for God makes no mistakes. There is but one power which enforces spiritual law, and since there is only one it must be supreme and continuous. In proportion as this fact of real being is acknowledged and applied, human conditions and situations bear witness to the perfect government of Spirit.
