Christian Science declares that erring human will-power...
Suddeutsche Monatshefte
Christian Science declares that erring human will-power is something which can neither produce nor support spiritual healing. The teachings of Christian Science are founded on spiritual truths which have no relation to human will-power. The knowledge that God is, and that He governs His universe through His spiritual laws, confers the healing power. Christian Science is the revelation of the truth about God, and through the study of this teaching men learn to love God, to overcome their sins, to avoid doing wrong; and this getting rid of sin and wrong results in moral uplifting. Through the true understanding of God, which removes erroneous beliefs, sickness as well as sin, mankind attains harmony. Can this be called suggestion?
The teaching of Christian Science is founded on the life, teaching, and works of Jesus; and the statements of spiritual truth in Christian Science can be proved.
