When Jesus made his triumphal entry into Jerusalem, the...
When Jesus made his triumphal entry into Jerusalem, the people cried out with joy for all the mighty works which he had done; and so in our day, those who have witnessed the power and presence of God are happy to let their joy be known. I am grateful that Christian Science has given me an understanding of God as an ever present help in trouble. Not long ago I became ill with influenza and chicken pox. A Christian Science practitioner was asked to help me, and I recovered in a little over a week. Through reliance on the understanding that my strength came from God, who was withholding nothing good or needful from me, I received strength to walk a little each day, in order to direct household activities. Though the evidences of chicken pox ex tended over my hands and feet, I was able to resume my duties about the home with but slight discomfort, and all signs disappeared quickly without leaving a scar. A numbness in my fingers and toes persisted, but that also disappeared after several further treatments.
I was healed of childbirth fever in one treatment, so that all pain and fever left me within ten minutes after a practitioner was called. The physician and nurse who were attending me showed surprise at the almost instantaneous change in my condition.
One night I awoke with a terrible pain in my stomach. After the pain continued for over an hour, at my request my husband telephoned a practitioner for help. Treatment was given, and within twenty minutes all pain had left me. Throat trouble which developed after an attack of quinsy left me unable to speak for a month, and for two months I was able to form words only with difficulty. One morning I asked a practitioner for treatment for this condition, and in the evening my throat and voice were normal, and did not trouble me again.
