More Spirituality Needed

ONE just beginning the study of Christian Science found that his office rent was due and there were apparently no funds available to meet the need. The practitioner to whom he turned for help said, "What you require is more love," and asked him to study the thirteenth chapter of I Corinthians. At first the student was inclined to rebel at this seemingly impractical advice given under such distressing circumstances, but obedience won and he proceeded to do as he had been instructed. He had but commenced the work when he recalled a forgotten fund which proved ample to meet the needs of the moment.

This was a much needed and deeply appreciated lesson. It was learned particularly from this experience that it was not physical effort or material thinking that produced the desired result, but spiritualization of thought, reliance for help on divine Principle, God. Many times since has this one real power been proved available and ever ready to solve human problems.

Those not acquainted with the healing method in Christian Science may wonder how such results are accomplished by spiritualization of thought. Yet students of Christian Science are constantly overcoming sickness, sin, lack, and inharmony by the destruction of false material beliefs and the acceptance, instead, of spiritual reality. What a person believes, he sees; and, "As he thinketh in his heart, so is he."
