[Original testimony in German]
For over eleven years, when I have applied Christian Science...
For over eleven years, when I have applied Christian Science in daily life, I have received not only much relief through it but also spiritual and physical strength and health. I was healed of nervous prostration, and during that time I studied the New Testament and the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. The practitioner whom I met quoted to me the following words of Christ Jesus: "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me." These words helped me to stand firm and gave me peace when error tried to overwhelm me; and this tender message is still growing in appeal to me.
Our son was healed of measles. On another occasion when he was a small boy his left knee suddenly became stiff, but in spite of the evidence of the senses the trouble caused him no pain. After three months' help from a practitioner, early one morning the boy came running into the bedroom and with a shout of joy exclaimed, "My left leg is limber again like the other; I am healed!"
The daily reading of the Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly is always crowned by the revelation that God, good, is Life. I am very grateful for membership in The Mother Church as well as in a branch church; for class instruction, and the opportunity to help in church work. The blessings which have come to us through Christian Science in the way of protection, supply, and healing are too numerous to mention here. I am deeply grateful to God for the Bible, and to Mrs. Eddy, whose devoted years and noble religious character enabled her to illumine the Bible and reveal to us the Christ, Truth.
