Teach Me, I Pray

HELP me, O God,
To loose these boys and girls in my own thought
And let them go. Let me see perfect man,
So helping them to see themselves as free
From bondage of unwillingness and sloth,
Of inattentiveness, of inability,
Of lack of right desire, of vision clear!
Help me to understand them, seeing man;
To see beyond the seeming, and to know
Thy children even as they are known by Thee;
And so to guide them on to know themselves,
Reflecting the one Mind, the Mind of Christ,
The Mind which cannot fail!
Father, I pray, teach me!
