"Freely ye have received, freely give."
"Freely ye have received, freely give." I should like to express my gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me through Christian Science. Like many others I turned to it for healing. Shortly after taking up the study of this Science I was healed of an internal trouble from which several physicians had told me I should never be free unless I submitted to an operation, which I was unwilling to do. This discordant condition entirely disappeared through the study, with the illumination of Christian Science, of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, and the healing has been permanent. A later healing was of pneumonia, when I seemed to be passing on. A practitioner was called by a member of my family, and I soon regained consciousness. In two days I was sitting up, and in less than two weeks I was able to take an automobile ride, attending church the following Sunday.
While I am indeed grateful for being released from these and other discordant conditions, I feel most grateful to have learned of God as the universal Father-Mother. I wish to express my sincere gratitude for the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, and to all the faithful ones who have helped me; also for class instruction and for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church.—(Mrs.) Gertrude L. Thomas, Newtonville, Massachusetts.
