In your issue of September 2 "Medikus" quite erroneously stated that Christian Science practice is "suggestion."

May I be allowed to explain that Christian Science practice is based upon and utilizes the same spiritual law used by Christ Jesus and his disciples in healing the sick about two thousand years ago. Its object is to awaken humanity to an understanding and realization of the fundamental truth that the real nature of man is spiritual. Spiritual man, made in the image and likeness of God, is not and cannot be sick, and to the extent that men awaken from the mortal dream of material life, evil, including sickness, falls away from them as necessarily as darkness gives way to light.

On the contrary, suggestion, in connection with the healing of disease, implies hypnosis, and hypnosis means sleep.
