I am indeed grateful that eleven years ago I was ready and willing to turn to Christian Science for help, which I received from another member of my family who was a student of Christian Science.

Ever since childhood I had suffered continually from constipation and frequent bilious spells and sick headaches, trying all material means without having this condition corrected. I began reading Christian Science periodicals, attending the church services, reading Mrs. Eddy's writings, and, later, studying the Bible Lessons from the Christian Science Quarterly daily. My son, who was at this time three years old, manifested the same bilious condition from the time he was about a year old. I had been giving him medicine but it did not remedy the condition. Not long after taking up the study of Christian Science and endeavoring to put its teachings into practice I realized that the condition was entirely corrected in both my own and my son's experience. No treatment was given or special work done on this problem, but as my thinking was spiritualized by the action of Truth, the healing was accomplished. This was a great proof to me of God's healing power.

My outlook on life was changed, and I felt that there was some purpose in living. Later I joined a branch church and The Mother Church, and I can never express enough gratitude for the privilege of serving in several capacities in a branch church. It has blessed me more than I can say. I had disliked hymns very much, as they seemed so dreary and gloomy, but I have learned to love the Christian Science hymns because they bring out the truth about God and man; and I have found that they heal. My son has attended a Christian Science Sunday School ever since we became students, and it has greatly blessed both of us. I am deeply grateful for the privilege of class instruction and for the wonderful help and inspiration received at the annual Association meetings.
