For more than twenty years Christian Science has been...
For more than twenty years Christian Science has been my only help in time of need, whether for health, guidance, home, friends, position, or protection; and in all that time I have found that there is no problem too big or too small for Christian Science to work out harmoniously. Sometimes the healings have come instantaneously, and sometimes the error has been slow to yield, but always, when the rules of Christian Science have been faithfully and persistently applied, victory has been the outcome.
During these years attacks of tonsillitis, which recurred every winter, croup, colds, influenza, chronic stomach trouble, an enlargement in the neck, results of accidents, and other difficulties have been successfully overcome with Christian Science help only. Many times the aid of practitioners has been necessary, and I am grateful to them for their loving, unselfish service.
For right guidance Christian Science teaches us to rely implicitly on God. Mary Baker Eddy says in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 454), "Love inspires, illumines, designates, and leads the way;" and many times, with the confidence inspired by this statement, I have been led to make right decisions. Gaining a higher concept of home through knowing that God is our "dwelling place in all generations" has revealed to me a bit of heaven on earth. I am grateful for learning that home, which is a right idea, is truly first established in consciousness. The need of friends, when I moved to a new place, was most beautifully met through the channels of Christian Science.
