Our Desires

Teach us, O God, to know
Our lives are hid with Thee,
Within Thy peace and permanence,
Held in security.

Teach us, O God, to act
With understanding love;
Express Thy wise beneficence,
Thy wisdom from above.

Help us, O God, to know
Ourselves, as known by Thee;
The outcome of Thy radiance,
Thy shining purity!
