I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science
I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science. I am grateful for the loving care and protective guidance that I have experienced. There were healings in our home through the application of its truths when I was a very small child, and later, when we lived near a church, my parents sent me to the Christian Science Sunday School. However, it was not until later in my life that I began to realize the full import of this Science to my happiness and well-being. At this time erysipelas appeared on my face. My husband, knowing nothing of Christian Science, purchased some remedies, which he applied, but with no healing results. Then I asked him if he would like to go with me to see a Christian Science practitioner. This he consented to do, provided I would agree to try the material remedies again if Christian Science did not help in a week's time. Before the week was up, however, the manifestation of the error was fast disappearing, and my husband was studying the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, to discern what it was that was doing the healing. Since then Christian Science has been our solution for all problems that have arisen.
I am especially grateful for the privilege of church activities, which help to regenerate our thinking in teaching what love is and how to love; for The Mother Church; and for class instruction. My sincere desire is to express my gratitude by living the truth revealed to us by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.
