It is not the brick, wood, and stone of the homes and buildings made with hands, nor the monoliths and pyramids, that endure. But we can surely keep and then hand down to those who come after us a creed of kindliness and charity, a sense of honor, a delicate regard for the individuality of others, an affectionate loyalty in friendship, and a serene and modest self-reliance and the knowledge of our work well done.
