I was led to Christian Science by the desire for healing...
I was led to Christian Science by the desire for healing for our little daughter, who had been ill from one trouble or another most of her life. One of the difficulties the doctor diagnosed as abscesses on the eyes. We had the best specialists in the city, but the trouble kept recurring until she lost the sight of one eye; and I thought at the time that if she could see to get around I should be grateful.
The trouble did not yield quickly after we took up the study of Christian Science, but we began to have more faith, more hope, and as a result of treatments and faithful study the disease disappeared; her sight improved, and she was able to start to school when she was nine years old and finish high school at eighteen.
Another daughter, who has known only Christian Science since birth, has been wonderfully protected from the ills of the flesh; and we have seen measles, whooping cough, and many childhood ills disappear like mist before the sun.
