I was led to Christian Science by the desire for healing...

I was led to Christian Science by the desire for healing for our little daughter, who had been ill from one trouble or another most of her life. One of the difficulties the doctor diagnosed as abscesses on the eyes. We had the best specialists in the city, but the trouble kept recurring until she lost the sight of one eye; and I thought at the time that if she could see to get around I should be grateful.

The trouble did not yield quickly after we took up the study of Christian Science, but we began to have more faith, more hope, and as a result of treatments and faithful study the disease disappeared; her sight improved, and she was able to start to school when she was nine years old and finish high school at eighteen.

Another daughter, who has known only Christian Science since birth, has been wonderfully protected from the ills of the flesh; and we have seen measles, whooping cough, and many childhood ills disappear like mist before the sun.

I am very grateful for these healings and for the healings of many physical ills that presented themselves to me, for the solving of business problems, and for the complete overcoming of a badly sprained ankle in less than two hours.

Christian Science has given me a better outlook on life, a greater love for all mankind; and I am sincerely grateful to Mrs. Eddy for the better understanding of the Bible and of God and His healing Christ.

(Mrs.) Katherine Whitmore, Rochester, New York.

In humble gratitude for Christian Science I wish to verify my mother's testimony. I have been wonderfully helped. Christian Science gives us a perfect Principle and rule for demonstration, and in proportion to the application of this rule we are healed. The statement from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 471), "God is infinite, therefore ever present, and there is no other power nor presence," has been an unfailing help to me.

My gratitude is unbounded for the loving provisions Mrs. Eddy has made for our guidance, since we need this guidance every hour of the day. I am thankful for loving practitioners and for membership in a branch church.
