Eight years ago I was injured internally in giving birth to a child, and I suffered intense pain for a year. At that time the doctor said an operation would be my only help, but I would not consent to it. I started to study "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and to apply its teachings the best I knew how, and in two weeks I was healed.

I have also been healed of chronic constipation of years' standing, and of wearing glasses. Through the loving help of a practitioner, influenza was overcome in three days. Immediate members of my family have been healed of deafness, abscess in the head, burns, colds, the habit of smoking and drinking, and of difficulties such as lack and school problems. Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health (p. 473), "God is everywhere, and nothing apart from Him is present or has power." I am witnessing this daily through the study of Christian Science. Words can never tell my heartfelt gratitude to God and to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy. I am also grateful for all the Christian Science literature; for our lecturers and practitioners; for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and for class instruction.—
