Chrisitan Science is founded on the Bible, and looks upon Christ Jesus as the Way-shower. It acknowledges his teachings wholly, not partially, and considers it the duty and privilege of every man to yield faithful obedience to his commands. He said: "If ye continue in my word, then are ye are my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free;" and, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do."

Whoever reads, without prejudice, the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, studying it deeply and comparing it with the Bible, will come to the conclusion that Christian Science is in accord with the fundamental truths of Christianity. He will, furthermore, see that healings are the "signs following" promised by Jesus to those who "believe" on him, healings which were in evidence among the Christians of the first centuries of the Christian era. Is there any reason why his words should not be valid today?
