I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science and the healing power of its truth as experienced in the complete recovery from goiter, with attendant abnormal heart action. Christian Science treatment was asked for; but as I did not improve at once and became discouraged, it was dropped.

I was examined by a physician, who said I was suffering from goiter and must go to bed, as it was dangerous for me to be up. Staying in bed did not improve the heart action, and after two weeks he advised an operation as the only means of averting permanent heart trouble. I would not consent to the operation, so called in another Christian Science practitioner. He said I should get up whenever I desired; which I did at once, without any harmful effects. The swelling did not go away at once, neither did heart action become normal immediately, but gradually improvement took place, so that I did not know when the healing came; in fact, I paid no attention to those manifestations after the fear was destroyed. That was ten years ago, and I have had no return of any symptoms since.

My earnest desire is for a greater understanding of this wonderful Science, which through the tireless efforts of its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy, is bringing to humanity release from the bondage of material beliefs.
