I am very grateful for Christian Science and for all the blessings it has brought into my family. I am especially grateful for the help I received at the birth of our little daughter. When the child was born she had a growth on each of her little fingers. The child's father and her paternal grandmother each had the same manifestation at birth, it being necessary in both cases to remove the growths by amputation. The doctor in attendance at the birth of the child examined her hands and stated that the growths were flesh and blood and that they would have to be amputated. He advised waiting until she was three years of age, as it would be a very painful operation and he would have to administer ether. The case was given to a Christian Science practitioner, and when the child was six months old both of the growths disappeared. They simply dried up and dropped off. There was no discomfort whatever experienced during the entire time. She is now a strong, healthy child, and has never known anything but Christian Science in the solving of her problems.
In my home I have seen rheumatism, nervous breakdown, infant pneumonia, a diseased condition of the gums, tonsillitis, and many other erroneous conditions completely healed through the application of Christian Science. A great sense of depression under which I labored for some time was finally lifted by gaining a better understanding of Truth. We have had many beautiful demonstrations of supply.
One of the things for which I am most grateful is the blessed privilege of serving in a branch church. Through this work I have grown in the truth, and many needed lessons have been learned. I am grateful for the loyal practitioners and the kind friends who helped me in the beginning, and who still stand ready to give me loving support if there seems to be a need. Also my gratitude is very great to Mary Baker Eddy for giving Christian Science to the world. It is a religion of love, and one that can be lived daily and hourly; and I pray that I may live it more and more in my daily life. —(Mrs.) Marjorie C. Carbee, Queens Village, Long Island, New York.
