Through our varied and always trying experiences with the sin, sickness, and sorrows of life, we sooner or later come to lose faith in the power of mortal man and man-made things, and so we come face to face with an urgent necessity for a power above the human, one that can help when all merely human agencies have failed us. It is right there, in that moment of great need, that Christian Science found most of us, or where we found Christian Science and learned that it leads us lovingly and understandingly to a high, yet available and all-sufficient power, the omnipotence of God.
