I have so much for which to be thankful to Christian Science that I wish to offer this testimony with the hope that it will convey at least a small part of my gratitude.

One of the first healings I had was of an annoying skin disease. About the same time a stubborn bowel trouble disappeared. This was eleven years ago and there has been no return of either trouble. I have not used medicine of any kind for myself since then.

At one time I spilled scalding water on one foot. I immediately denied reality to matter and repeated "the scientific statement of being," given on page 468 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. After the first instant there was no pain. I did not look at the foot until several hours later, when there was only a slight pinkness to show where the water had touched.

I have seen many healings in my small family; one member who is not a Scientist was almost instantly healed of dysentery. One day I was healed of a severe headache by reading the chapter entitled "One Cause and Effect" in "Miscellaneous Writings" by Mrs. Eddy.

I wish to express my deep gratitude to the several loving practitioners who have so patiently and perseveringly helped me. I am grateful for the privilege our small son has of attending the Christian Science Sunday School; grateful to own the writings of Mrs. Eddy and a Concordance; and for the periodicals, which have helped me much. Many times I have turned to an article that seemed written to meet my need at that particular time.
