Jesus promised peace and tranquillity of soul to his disciples. "God is not the author of confusion, but of peace." Feverish excitement is not the mark of pity. So in these days of hurry and rush, in these days of noise and excitement, in these days of rushing to and fro, let us learn to be led by the still waters of the spirit. When our bodies, minds, and souls are tired of the ceaseless noise and excitement of our busy world, let us draw aside for just a little while in prayer and meditation, and find tranquillity and peace. "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
