I wish to express gratitude for the many healings which I have experienced during the past nine years through the study of Christian Science. It came to me at a time when to mortal sense my hold on life was fast slipping away. Having been subject for many years to nervousness, heart trouble, and the necessity of changing climate, with fear and trembling I turned to God for healing. The persistent application of the truth to these errors has brought into my life a sense of peace and happiness that is beyond human understanding.

It is with deep humility and reverence that I say I am grateful to Mary Baker Eddy for her unceasing labor in giving to the world the textbook of Christian Science, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I am also grateful for the earnest and sincere efforts of practitioners and of the officers of The Mother Church.
