It gives me great pleasure to testify to an instantaneous healing I experienced during a Christian Science lecture. I was feeling the symptoms of a chill on the Thursday before the lecture, but did not stop to reject the thought of cold at once, as I should have done. On Saturday night I had sharp pains in my chest and head and felt very ill. I read the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and felt somewhat better, but I could not sleep, as the pains returned and I was hot and cold by turns.

On Sunday morning I got up late, feeling very miserable; but I thought that if I could get to the lecture I should be healed. We took the street cars and had only a short way to walk; but it seemed a long distance, and had my sister not helped me I must have given in. We were early, so I had time to read and prepare my thought for the message. When the lecturer began to speak I forgot all the pains in listening to the wonderful healing words, and when he ended I found that I was healed. I walked to the street car feeling I had awakened from a bad dream.
