Cowichan Leader

Boston, Massachusetts. — The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist. Sunday morning service at 10.45, Sunday evening service at 7.30 (evening service omitted during July and August), Sunday school at 10.45, and Wednesday evening meeting at 7.30 are held in the church edifice at Norway, Falmouth, and St. Paul Streets. This edifice is open to visitors on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 until 5.

Reading Rooms: in Statler Office Building, Park Square, open week days, except Wednesdays and holidays, from 9 a.m until 9 p.m., open Wednesdays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.; at 209 Washington Street, opposite Old State House, open week days, except holidays, from 9 a.m. until 5.30 p.m.; at 206 Massachusetts Avenue, near church edifice, open week days, except Wednesdays and holidays, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m., open Wednesdays from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m., open holidays from 2 until 9 p.m., and open Sundays from 12.15 until 7 p.m.

Duncan, British Columbia, Canada (Society) .—The opening service in the new church of the Christian Science Society in Duncan has now been held with the usual congregation augmented by a number of visitors from Victoria and elsewhere. Its completion marks the fulfillment of an earnest desire of local Christian Scientists for a church of their own. The new church is a handsome white stucco building. It is on a corner opposite to the United Church. It is set fifteen feet off the road and has a cement walk leading to the low steps of the portico, where four large pillars rise to the two-story front. The main hall will seat one hundred and fifty. Above the front vestibule is a classroom. Except for this front portion, the building is one story. It has a peaked roof of fireproof substance. — Cowichan Leader.
