It has been said that "man's extremity is God's opportunity." Never was this truth more strikingly evidenced than in my own case. For years I had lost no opportunity to ridicule and deride Christian Science. Time after time not only friends, but one nearest and dearest to me, had besought me to examine and study this wonderful system of spiritually mental healing; but all without avail.

At last, apparently in the advanced stages of diabetes; filled with drugs which brought no alleviation; spending large amounts of money upon physicians' prescriptions which were without efficacy; barely able to drag myself to my office, where each day (as they told me afterward) my associates were more and more surprised to see me appear, I yielded to the importunity of the dear one and visited a practitioner. I was completely healed—and instantaneously! Never has there been the slightest sign of a return of the trouble; nor have I had serious annoyance from any other physical ailment. Coughs and colds, to which I had always been particularly subject, torpid bowel conditions, toothache, and other complaints have all been successfully disposed of, in most cases with only a few moments' treatment by myself.

But most of all and best of all has been the change in mental conditions. Quiet confidence has replaced disturbance, and the understanding of divine law has come to give me peace. I am profoundly grateful to God for Christ Jesus and for Mary Baker Eddy.
