I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science...

I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me and mine. We have had many beautiful healings. I wish especially to relate one that took place a short time ago for our young daughter. Her father is not a student of Christian Science, so she was operated on for acute appendicitis. Pneumonia complications set in, and the condition of her heart was weakened. On the fourth day the doctor and matron told me the worst was feared; they did not think she could possibly win through. I refused to accept this statement, and immediately rang up a Christian Science practitioner, who lovingly gave her help at once. The result was that there was no crisis, and the night it was expected our daughter had a nice evening meal. She left the hospital fourteen days after the operation. The nurses wished to carry her down to the motor car, but she refused their aid and walked out herself, quite well and happy. The doctor said in the beginning that if she pulled through she would be in the hospital five weeks, and then she should have four or five months' rest. They were astounded at her progress and admitted the case was unusual, not knowing that God's love is unlimited, supreme, and a present help in trouble.

I cannot express my gratitude fully; my heart overflows with joy for the blessings received. I am indeed grateful to Christ Jesus for his love; to Mary Baker Eddy, our beloved Leader; and to the dear practitioner who so willingly and lovingly declared the truth and helped me.—(Mrs.) Vera Gladys Richards, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
