I am one of the many who owe their health, life, and supply to the understanding gained through the study and application of Christian Science.

Several years ago I suddenly became very deaf, as well as physically ill. Members of the family grew tired of trying to shout loud enough for me to hear and began writing their messages to me. I lay on my bed thinking life could never be sweet for me again, and feeling very bitter and depressed.

Due to the fact that medical thought was very strong in the family, it was necessary for me to call a doctor. On looking at me he shook his head very sadly, and gave me no hope of ever recovering my hearing; he also told me my heart condition was very bad. Life was full of utter despair to me. I allowed the doctor to treat me for a certain length of time, then asked for a Christian Science practitioner's assistance, and in a very short time was up and had secured my normal hearing. Words can never express my great joy over this demonstration. After I had had Science help, the doctor's assistant asked if he might examine me, and I consented. Upon examining my heart he said it was in perfect condition.
