For many years I have relied solely upon Christian Science. When its teachings have been consistently, earnestly, and steadfastly applied, it has never failed me. I had the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School for many years, and the understanding of God and of man's relationship to Him which was unfolded to me during those precious years has proved a firm foundation upon which to build.

My mother took up the study of Christian Science at a time when our whole family was in sore need of help in every way. I rejoice that through its blessed ministrations we all received the help we sought, which was made manifest in a greater sense of spiritual and physical well-being. At that time I was suffering from astigmatism and was wearing heavy glasses. The glasses had to be changed periodically for stronger ones. In bright weather I was also compelled to wear dark glasses. At the same time I was afflicted with what is known as pink eye, a condition which forced me to study in a dark room for weeks at a time. Christian Science treatment was asked for, and in a very short time I was able to lay aside my glasses. The condition of pink eye, which seemed to reappear seasonally, was also healed with the loving help of a practitioner. These healings occurred over eighteen years ago, and during all the years since then I have been able to use my eyes without the least discomfort.

A few years before coming into Christian Science, while playing with a younger sister, I fell with full force on my face. Upon examination, the doctor declared that my nose was broken. The bleeding was stopped with difficulty, but the doctor said he could not set the bone. When, after several weeks, the swelling went down, it was found that my nose was bent; and at the least provocation it would bleed profusely. I also found that I could not breathe through my nose. I was obliged to use a spray for cleansing purposes, and had to breathe through my mouth. This condition continued until we took up the study of Christian Science. Just when the healing occurred, I cannot tell. I know that for years I have not had a nosebleed, that my nose is perfectly straight, and that I am able to breathe freely through the nasal channels.
