"To-day is big with blessings"
What a wonderful meaning attaches to the word "today," when interpreted in the light of Christian Science! Instead of being just another twenty-four hours of work and worry, sickness and fear, each to-day stands forth as a new period, full of glory, opportunity, and fruition.
On the first page of the Preface to "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy has written, "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." What a promise is contained in the sentence! In that clarion statement the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science offers her followers no indistinct and distant reward, but makes it clear to those with ears to hear and eyes to see that bounteous supply is available—not tomorrow, but to-day, here and now; and to-day's blessings are without limitation.
Throughout her writings our beloved Leader has stressed the importance of realizing the value of to-day, the futility of worrying about to-morrow, and the necessity of utilizing the yesterdays only for inspirational purposes. By following this counsel, and living in accordance with the demands of their highest concept of God's unerring law, as revealed in Christian Science, thousands of men and women throughout the world are finding that the doors of opportunity are always open to those who are prepared to follow the dictates of right thinking.
