Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

This is the first annual report since 1926, when the first assistant left Reval. In 1929 the assistant for Latvia was elected an assistant for Estonia too. From this time up to date this office has been managed by an assistant of Estonia.

In five years six misrepresentations of Christian Science required an answer. All six were replied to. Three corrections were printed in a local newspaper, one in the Revaler Kirchenblatt, an important religious paper which reaches a large circle of readers in all parts of Estonia. Two corrections were made by paying a visit to the clergymen who were the authors of the articles of misrepresentation. It is of interest to note that the one correction in the Revaler Kirchenblatt was printed by the editor of the paper, a clergyman, who is well known in the town.

In general the attitude of clergymen and press toward Christian Science is not unkind, and no attacks have been made in recent years.
