In reply to a canon's remarks appearing in your issue of July 15, let me give him some reasons why so many people are adopting Christian Science.

First of all, Christian Science gives them a clear sense of God's omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence. Secondly, it is giving them a better understanding of man's relationship to God as His image and likeness. Thirdly, this understanding gives them a better sense of physical health and well-being.

Christian Science enables them to prove that God is a "very present help in trouble." It gives them a vital sense of the truth as taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus, such a conviction as enabled the early Christians to face the lions rather than deny that which they had gained.

Christian Science has stripped religion of the false beliefs which have blinded the so-called Christian nations to the true import of Christianity for so many centuries. The world is yearning for and is demanding Christianity in its original form; and it is in this form that Mrs. Eddy has given it back to humanity.
