Christian Science has helped me in innumerable ways

Christian Science has helped me in innumerable ways. When I was sixteen years of age I was told by the school physicians that because of a mastoid condition in both ears I would be totally deaf before I was eighteen unless a serious operation were performed. Shortly after this verdict was given I became interested in Christian Science; and when next the earache, from which I had suffered frequently since childhood, presented itself, I sought the help of a Christian Science practitioner. She received me so lovingly, and so tenderly explained that I, as God's child, could not suffer, that the belief was destroyed and the healing took place immediately. This was over six years ago, and there has never been a return of the difficulty, nor has my hearing ever been in the least impaired. In fact it has grown stronger, for I have learned that it is through Mind, not matter, that we hear, and I have learned to listen for the "still small voice" of Truth.

I also wish to express gratitude for the great privilege of being a pupil in the Christian Science Sunday School for two years, and for the still greater privilege of serving there now as a teacher. Truly, as the Bible states, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." I am so grateful for all our literature, and for the loving practitioners and friends who have so unselfishly helped to guide me into the straight and narrow way of Truth.
