When I took up the study of Christian Science I was in such a condition, both physically and mentally, that it seemed as though nothing could be done for me. Since then I have had many physical healings, including the healing of an internal ailment of eight years' standing.

The overcoming of the thought of resentment over what I believed to be an injustice seemed more difficult than the overcoming of the physical troubles. On page 228 of "Miscellaneous Writings" Mrs. Eddy says, "To know that a deception dark as it is base has been practised upon thee, . . . and yet not to avenge thyself, is to do good to thyself." It was a help to me to be able to separate the evil from the person, and to understand that there is no evil person. In the solving of this problem a loving practitioner's work was very efficient.

Words cannot express my gratitude for Christian Science, and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, its Discoverer and Founder. This gratitude can best be expressed by reflecting more of the Christlike qualities.
