It has long been my earnest desire to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done and is doing for me; and as the past has brought experiences that have given me many opportunities to prove what even a small understanding of Christian Science will do for one, I am sending this testimony, knowing that what God has done for me He can and will do for others if they are willing and obedient.

My husband and I had been living for about a year in one of the foreign possessions of the United States. Without any previous warning, he passed on very suddenly. I immediately turned away from the material evidence and declared the truth as we are taught to do in Christian Science. I clung steadfastly to the truth, and was helped and sustained by several of the loving workers there. A sense of nervousness which had presented itself gave way, a great peace came to me, and I knew that all was well. During the following week, when error tempted me to yield to a sense of grief, the thought came to me that there was no place in my consciousness for self-pity; and I was healed. I know that it was possible for me to take my stand so calmly for Truth because I put aside all thought of self, knowing it was my privilege and duty to realize man's eternal oneness with his Maker.

My heart is overflowing with gratitude for the loving help given me by the faithful band of workers in that far-off land. What a blessing Christian Science is proving to be to all who find their duty calls them away from their homeland! It is through the establishment of branch churches all over the world that the needs of so many are being provided for.

I wish to express my gratitude for a recent healing
