My first healing through Christian Science was that of eyestrain. I was able to lay aside my glasses before I had quite finished my first reading of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I was healed of semiannual attacks of colds, and instantaneously healed of severe burns.

While serving with the American Red Cross overseas during the world war I suffered an attack of sinus infection. I was so surrounded by medical rules and thought that I permitted several teeth to be extracted and an operation to be performed upon my jaw. After my return to the United States I continued the medical treatments without receiving any relief from the intense pain in my head. After two years of great suffering I asked a Christian Science practitioner for help, and at the end of one month was completely healed.

Shortly before the birth of my son, two obstetrical specialists advised that a dangerous operation would be necessary and they were doubtful of the outcome. I immediately asked a Christian Science practitioner for treatment, with the result that the birth was perfectly harmonious, and I now have a healthy, happy boy. I am grateful that he enjoys the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School.
