With a deep sense of appreciation and gratitude I wish to give this testimony of the healing of resentment. From early childhood I was always sick. I always feared God, and was told that if I did not take the medicine offered me, God would punish me, and that He would take me away. It was very hard for me to rise above this thought and realize that God did not punish me.

From the very first I accepted the truth that Christian Science teaches. When it was first brought to me I experienced a rest and peace that I had not realized before. I have been healed of lung trouble, of severe stomach trouble, and of a discordant condition of the head. Christian Science has taught me that it is only what I let into my consciousness that will defile me, and that by holding to the truth and shutting out every erroneous thought I can be healed and be happy.

I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and for the privilege of teaching in the Sunday school, and for class instruction. My sincere desire is that I may live a life expressing my gratitude to God and to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, also to the kind practitioners.—(Mrs.) Virginia Elizabeth Mead, Royal Oak, Michigan.
