I am grateful that as I study and apply in daily living the truths taught in Christian Science, appreciation and gratitude are enlarged. I have had many healings in Christian Science, and am grateful for them, but more grateful for the steadily growing realization that Truth is the Life of man and that there is no other Life.

I was healed of a distressing trouble in the feet, the pain often extending to the hips. Sometimes the attacks were so sudden that after going out apparently normal I would have to be assisted home, and sometimes carried into and about the house. The condition was continuous for days, making all walking extremely painful. In talking to a Christian Science practitioner about another difficulty, I mentioned this condition twice. It became gradually less painful, and in a few weeks was entirely healed.

Another healing was that of gallstones. I had had several attacks of this distressing malady over a period of years, and on nearly every occasion it had seemed necessary to have a hypodermic injection of morphine to allay the pain. This last attack was more severe than any previous one. A loving practitioner worked earnestly and patiently, seeing so clearly through the distressing illusion that in two hours it was completely dispelled, and in a short time I was up and dressed; and there has been no recurrence of the disorder. These and numerous other proofs of God's ever-presence, which is protection, are abundantly satisfying and give a glimpse of what Job felt when he said, "In my flesh shall I see God." My gratitude to our Leader for her great work for humanity is immeasurable, and to live the life of a consecrated Christian is the best way to express it.
