With deep gratitude to God I give my testimony of healing through Christian Science, which occurred over four years ago. I was in poor health for three years, and steadily grew worse until I was in a serious condition, a complication of diseases of certain internal organs having developed. I was also afflicted with heart trouble. An operation gave me some relief for a time, but the trouble returned, making it impossible for me to stand on my feet. Our family physician suggested to my husband that it might help to send me to a sanitarium, but gave no assurance that I would ever be well again, as already all had been done for me that medical skill could do. The pain around my heart necessitated my sitting up day and night. A teacher in the Christian Science Sunday School heard of my illness through one of her pupils, and lovingly borrowed a copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, from the lending library, and sent it to me one Sunday. After reading the chapter on Prayer I sent for a practitioner. In less than an hour the pain around the heart began to lessen, enabling me to lie down and go to sleep. The practitioner lovingly continued to work for me, and my physical difficulties disappeared. Through the study of Mrs. Eddy's writings, the Lesson-Sermons, and the authorized literature I have received great blessings, for which I am sincerely grateful.—(Mrs.)Ollie L.
