In expressing my gratitude for the daily help received in Christian Science, in all the problems which present themselves, whether financial, or in business, or in the church, I should like particularly to testify to the healing of acute bronchitis. At my birth my mother passed on with this trouble, and from that time on I seemed to be held in bondage. I was never really free from attacks of bronchitis until I heard of Christian Science, which proved to be my salvation, for I was able to prove then that my birthright was not subjection, but dominion. This was over thirteen years ago, and I am a healthy man to-day.

I should like to give an experience which I had some time ago, with the hope that others may be helped. For some time I had been very much disturbed, and very doubtful as to my right place in my work, as the business I am in prevented me from engaging in any church activity when called upon. The only way out that occurred to me was to seek a new position, where these obstacles would be removed. During a conversation with a Christian Scientist the problem was mentioned, and a quick response came that the highest demonstration is to keep quiet and know each day that we can be only where we can do the best work for God. Soon after this a position that seemed to be more congenial, better financially, and to give more time for church work, presented itself, and in striving to know what was the right step to take, and to let God's will be done and not my will, I decided to leave it entirely with divine Mind, without taking any immediate human step. Some months elapsed and then, through the reorganization of the industry, this so-called congenial position was dispensed with, and the department ceased to function. Then came cause for rejoicing and gratitude for the loving protection of our Father-Mother, God; for it had been proved beyond question that I had been rightly guided to remain quietly where I was, giving a cup of cold water to the receptive thought, as opportunity occurred.

I have received many healings in Christian Science. I had been a very heavy smoker. This habit was instantaneously overcome through reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, as was also the desire for strong drink. Words fail to express my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for her devotion to humanity and for revealing the Christ, Truth.
