I should like to share with others my expression of gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. For over forty years I suffered from constipation. I consulted doctors in various cities and towns, but they could do nothing for me. After about twenty-five years I gave up consulting doctors, but continued taking medicines. Before I tried Christian Science I was taking medicine five or six times a week. This had a weakening effect.

In the year 1925 a friend who was a Christian Scientist told me that Christian Science could heal me, and she very kindly introduced me to a practitioner. The healing commenced more or less immediately after treatment was begun, but it was three or four months before I was entirely healed. Since then I have been normal. I have since experienced other healings, some of which were instantaneous. More important, however, than the physical healings, is the wonderful spiritual uplift one experiences through the study and practice of Christian Science. The realization that sin, sickness, lack, and suffering in general are not sent by God greatly uplifts one.

The world owes Mrs. Eddy a debt of gratitude for her wonderful spiritual interpretation of the Scriptures, which enables humanity to know the truth that makes free. We also owe gratitude to those loyal laborers in God's vineyard, the practitioners.
