The Christ

"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me."

John 12:32.

Lift up the Christ in every hour of every day,
That men may see in dark'ning gloom a shining ray,
And find within that radiant light the better way.

Lift up the Christ in every deed that you may do,
So men who dwell in falt'ring fear may look to you
And see reflected all that's honest, good, and true.

Lift up the Christ, and turn to Love, the eternal right
That makes men free from every shade of mortal night,
Giving to all to know and prove that God is might.
