It is my desire to express my gratitude for the many...
It is my desire to express my gratitude for the many beautiful healings I have experienced since Christian Science came to my attention.
Having been forced to leave my dear ones and seek a warmer climate on the advice of a specialist in New York, who claimed that he would not answer for my condition if I stayed there through another severe winter, with a feeling of great discouragement I soon found that the great sacrifice of leaving my home and family and coming to California had not brought about any change in my condition. I suffered just as much as I had ever done before, both physically and mentally.
At that time I was living with a relative who had been a student of Christian Science for a number of years, and it was not many weeks before I asked her to take me to a practitioner. This she did, and it was then I learned about my real spiritual self, the real man, as taught in Christian Science. Four weeks later I was perfectly well. My father, who came to see me about that time, said that he knew the minute he saw me that I had been healed, and he expressed it in these words: "I knew the minute I stepped off the train and saw you that you were well, and it must have been Christian Science that healed you, for nothing else could have made such a marked change in you."
