About two years ago I was attacked quite early one...
About two years ago I was attacked quite early one morning by what I believe was acute indigestion, and I wish to express deep gratitude for the instantaneous healing which I received. The symptoms were so intense that although I attempted to do my own work it became necessary for my husband to telephone to a Christian Science practitioner. In about fifteen minutes I was completely free from the ailment. In my desire to tell another of the distress I had been freed from, I went into details; in other words, I drew a mental picture of what I had seemed to pass through, the result being another call on the practitioner. The second healing was a little slower than the first, but by noon I was able to arise and dress. As we are taught by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 240), we must learn "either by suffering or by Science;" and while this experience was learned through suffering. I am even more grateful for the second healing than the first, for I realize more fully the error of talking error, as I had indeed made a reality of the difficulty. Since this experience I also watch my thoughts more carefully, which is an added cause for thankfulness.
For the many blessings that have come into my life through the study of the Bible with our textbook, for the privilege of membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and for class instruction, I am indeed grateful.
