Sincere gratitude impels me to testify to a healing in Christian Science. About eight years ago, according to medical science I was suffering from lung trouble, and after being examined by the tuberculosis examining board, I was told to follow a course of treatment or go to a health resort; but as I was acquainted with the teachings of Christian Science, I turned to a practitioner, who immediately helped me. It is true, in the course of the following year I felt pain occasionally, but the symptoms gradually disappeared, and in spite of the pain I was able to carry on my strenuous occupation, that of an installer of heating systems; and this I considered a great blessing. At the end of the year, when another medical examination was made, great improvement was diagnosed, and only a small scar on the lung was found.
In the summer of 1925 I suddenly felt severe pain in my chest, and went to the tuberculosis examining board voluntarily. I was examined by X-ray and a thorough examination of my blood and lungs was made. To my great joy the physician declared that the lungs were perfectly healthy, and that the pain was the result of ammonia poisoning which I had contracted at my work. I should like to add that I did not use any material remedies for the healing of this, nor was I under medical treatment.
We owe profound gratitude to Christian Science for these proofs of its healing power, and for many other experiences we have had in our family. I also wish to express my sincere gratitude to all those who helped me with so much love during this time.—Henry Fritz, Stuttgart-Karlsvorstadt, Germany.
