It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I send particulars...
It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I send particulars of my healing through Christian Science. In the year 1915 I was stricken with paralysis on my left side. For one year I was unable to walk. During that year I was given different kinds of medical aid; then I was taken home and told by my physicians that they had done all they could for me. I never gave up hope, but kept knowing I would walk some day.
About four months after returning from the hospital I was asked by a friend to take up Christian Science. The next day she gave me several copies of the Sentinel, and I began reading for two or three hours each day. My brother brought me a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy from the library, but I did not seem to get the right meaning of it; so I just continued reading the Sentinel. In sixteen days I was walking, free from all aid. Five years later I was attacked with a second stroke, but in six weeks I was healed through reading Science and Health. Some time later I had blood poisoning in my foot, which was very painful for some time, but through the faithful and loving work of a practitioner I was healed. I have had three children born under Christian Science treatment and am very thankful for almost painless deliveries. For these healings and many others I am very grateful. From the depths of my heart I thank God for these proofs of His love and goodness. I am also sincerely grateful to our Leader.—(Mrs.) Lula L. Forsythe, Farmington, Michigan.
