[Written for the Sentinel]

Thanksgiving

We thank Thee, Love divine,
Not for a special gift or favor rare,
But that Thou hearest every childlike prayer,
And that Thou givest us each day's supply
From out the storehouse of infinity,
With lavish hand.

Our Father-Mother God,
Refuge almighty from temptation's snare,
Life of our life, support in every care,
We, in Thy strong protection, unafraid,
Walk joyfully in peace, through light or shade,
With gratitude.
