Ascending Thought

ONE glorious May morning in an English town the church bells were ringing out triumphantly. It was what is known as Ascension Day. To a student of Christian Science there came a deep sense of gratitude that through the light shed on the gospel by Christian Science the ascension has become more fully understood. The following words,

"So well they loved their risen Lord
Their hearts were turned away
To heaven with Him—earth seemed so poor
That first Ascension Day,"
