My heart is full of gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me since my first introduction to Christian Science. I did not come to it for healing, but because I believed it to be a practical religion, which teaches that God is Love. Never once has it failed when understandingly applied.

I should like to write of an experience that I had with my teeth a few years ago. They had been much neglected through my intense fear of the dentist. After having them examined I was told that sixteen would have to be extracted, also that my gums were most unhealthy. Three appointments were made with the dentist for that week, and I also asked a practitioner for Christian Science treatment during that time. Upon arriving at the dentist's the next day I expressed a wish for no anæsthetic, nor any local application whatever. The dentist hesitated, and said he had much fear for me but would extract one tooth to see the result. All went well then, and also during the other two visits; and I can honestly testify that no pain, discomfort, or discord was experienced. Everything was most harmonious, and the gums were pronounced quite healthy.

I have had numerous other healings. Mastoid abscess of the ear was quickly met and overcome, although it had reached the seemingly dangerous stage and my fear was intense; nevertheless, upon the practitioner's receiving my second letter, the whole discord vanished, and all was well. Ptomaine poisoning, heart attacks, and acute sickness have been quickly healed through the loving work of a practitioner. Fatigue has also been healed, being replaced with joyous and harmonious activity. Depression, which was of many years' standing, entirely vanished one day when my heart was filled with gratitude for the good already received. Grief and the sense of separation have been replaced with peace and comfort.
